To access your account via FTP; you'll need to use the following settings:

server/hostname: your-domain.com
username: your-username
password: your-password
remote directory: httpdocs
port: 21

If your FTP program asks what transfer mode should be used, select "Active"

If you have configured your FTP application correctly, but are still having problems connecting, please contact our friendly support team for assistance.

Please note: Most FTP programs allow you to store passwords, but we recommend as a security measure you don't do so. The problem with allowing software programs to store passwords is that other parties using your computer will be able to access whatever service the password is associated with; with a possible end result (be it accidental or intentional) of causing havoc.
